Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Latchup, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform.

Description of Service

Latchup is a competitive programming platform for hardware description languages (HDL). The platform allows users to solve hardware design problems, submit solutions in various HDL languages (SpinalHDL, HardCaml, Amaranth, Clash, Chisel, VHDL, and Verilog), and compete on leaderboards.

Intellectual Property — Your Code

You retain full intellectual property rights to all code you submit to Latchup. By submitting code, you grant us only a limited, non-exclusive license to:

  • Compile and execute your code for evaluation purposes
  • Store your code for your personal access and submission history
  • Display your results (not your code) on leaderboards

We do NOT acquire any ownership of your code. We do NOT use your code for AI training, machine learning, or any purpose beyond evaluation and storage for your personal access.

User Accounts

You must authenticate through GitHub or Google to use Latchup. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials with these providers.

Acceptable Use

When using Latchup, you agree NOT to:

  • Submit malicious code designed to harm the platform or other users
  • Attempt to circumvent the sandboxed execution environment
  • Abuse platform resources or attempt denial-of-service attacks
  • Share solutions in ways that undermine the competitive nature of problems
  • Use automated systems to submit solutions without authorization

Code Execution

Your submitted code is executed in isolated, sandboxed environments with strict resource limits. We reserve the right to terminate execution of any submission that exceeds resource limits or violates our acceptable use policy.

Limitation of Liability

Latchup is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data or interruption of service.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
